It looks like Common isn't about to back down from the comments he made about Drake on his The Dreamer, The Believer cut "Sweet". After Drake shot back at him over the weekend at a concert in Vegas, Com went on Sway In The Morning yesterday to confirm that his verse on "Sweet" is in fact about Drake and other artists in his "category". looks like Jen Aniston is a cougar again!!
And I thought maybe this one was going to work. Looks like the 6-month fling between John Mayer & Jennifer Aniston is officially over. According to reports, Jen & John are no longer together, but you wouldn’t know because Jen is still sportin’ his lovely gifts.
Sources reveal that Jen was spotted walking her dog near her Malibu home sporting the watch that Mr. Mayer gave to Jen. And if that wasn’t enough, Jen has also been spotted with a new Blackberry that little Johnny boy gave her.

Britney Spears just gave an interview with OK! Magazine about her rehab stint and custody battle with K.FED. According to the interview, Brit said she would rather her two son’s not enter into the entertainment world, “I’d love them unconditionally if they wanted to. I’d just as soon they have a more normal childhood.”
Although the last few years have been induced crisis after another, Brit says all of this mess has ultimately helped to heal the bond between she and her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears. Brit’s Dad Jamie said, “God has a way of taking something bad and turning it into something good. If this hadn’t happened, I would never have been able to get back with my daughter and have this relationship I have with these two little boys.”
Waiting for Brit’s new CD to hit stores? You’ll have to wait about 6 to 9 months according to Brit, “I’m writing every day, here at the piano in this living room…This is my best work ever.”

COMMENT: I really do believe that Brit will have herself a comeback. I know that her last album ‘Blackout’ was to be that comeback, but honestly the chick was probably blacked out when she compiled the album. Her father Jamie is clearly making big improvements to his daughters life, he has the best interest of not only Brit but her two sons. For right now, I think Brit can let K.FED hold full custody until she gets everything back on track. I’m sure this next album is going to be nuts. I think Brit is finally realizing that its either your IN or your OUT in this music world!

Hello Mr. Fiasco! Rise & Shine!
For the second “Style & Design” cover story, Complex Magazine paired up Lupe Fiasco with Todd “REAS” James, a graffiti writer turned art world icon- to create images of the rapper in outerspace.

So I was just checking out this interview with Lupe. I’m not sure if any of you came across this already, but apparently Mr. Fiasco will only be coming out with one more SOLO ALBUM!!!
WTF??????? Lupe told the mag, “I’ll keep performing, you know? I doubt if I’ll make any more albums.”
But why stop after one more album? Lupe said, “I don’t understand who wrote the rules, you know what I’m sayin’? Because Jay-Z had 12 albums or LL had 12 albums? Why would people want to question my passion?
Lupe was asked again if there will be no more solo Lupe albums. Lupe responded “Yeah, the CRS project hopefully will come before my last album.”
Although Mr. Fiasco talks of his last album, this man is certainly not going anywhere very fast. Lupe has been designing his clothing line called ‘Fall of Rome’. Lupe said of the clothing line, “I give my clothing a story. I create a purpose for it, you know? The theme for the season coming in October is the Fall of Rome, it’s the fall of a decadence. It’s the absense of gluttony, just simple. So it’s black.”
Oh yes, Lupe says his line will be completely black, “Yeah, everything’s black. And the logo for it is this broken statue that was pushed down when Rome was invaded; it represents the decay of beauty. And that nothing lasts forever. So it starts to get like my raps where everything becomes a metaphor for something else.”
i’m not sure whether to laugh or cry. One more CD????
He has only released 3 to date!!!

Cassie is currently in the studio working on her second album. During her interview, Cassie was asked why her second album has taken so long to release, Cassie stated “Based on my past and how my last album came out, I really need to come back much, much stronger. I wanted to have more personality. Before, I had tracks delivered to me; you pick and you choose, and there’s no personality behind it, nobody knows who you are. I really want to tell a story when I’m doing a song. Vocally, either you like my voice or you don’t. I’m not trying to blow like Mariah, back when she was doing that. “
When asked if her new single ‘Official Girl’ was released as a ploy to cash in on the rumor that she and Diddy are dating Cassie said, “Nope. It wasn’t planned. It was just a song I really loved that I heard. Nobody will ever know who “Official Girl” is about. They think it’s about certain people but it’s not. Anything that happens in my personal life is personal. I never actually put anything out there. Nobody’s really known who I’ve dated.”
My favorite part of the interview is when Cassie is asked if she is somebody’s ‘official girl’? Cassie responded, “I might be. [Laughs.] I’m not in a relationship right now, but I’m 22. I’m dating people. I’m not one to be like, “I’m dating that guy and that guy.” I don’t want it to be about who I’m dating. I want people to take my career more seriously.”

Earlier this summer, Mr. Pharrell Williams said during an interview that he was going to have all of his tattoos removed. Why? Becuase grown men can’t have fire are on their arms! Haha!
Pharrell says that the procedure is long and costly but it is something he has to do.

murder at Kim’s bday bash. Why?????
Ok so on August 3rd, Lil’ Kim hosted another bday party to celebrate her 33rd Birthday. The party went down at Spotlight Live club in NYC. Guests included, Missy Elliott, Lisa Ray, Busta Rhymes, Ryan Leslie, Stacy Dash, Swizz Beatz, and many others. Below I have many photos from the party. Looked like a pretty nice bash huh? According to reports, Lil’ Kim left the club after only an hour or two and then went on to her next location.
The next morning, the body of Ingrid Rivera, 24, (photo’d below, far right, at Spotlight Live Club just hours before murder) , was found on the roof of the Spotlight Live Club. Apparently Kim did not know the woman personally but was devastated to find out about the murder.
So the police investigated the murder over the past few weeks and then all of the sudden a club employee, Sayed Rahman, told cops he lured Ms. Rivera to the roof where he says he tried to have sex with her, but when she refused, he assaulted her before smashing her head in with a pipe.
Rahman also says that Ms. Rivera was somehow lost from her group of friends and could not find her way back into the club, when he told her to follow him so he could get her back into the club. Instead she followed him to the roof where he violently murdered her.
Mr. Rahman was charged with second-degree murder. Police suspected Rahman early on because he was one of few employees who had a key to that restricted area of the roof.

Former U.S. senator and Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards, admitted Friday to an extramarital affair. Although reports and pictures have surfaced of Edwards with his ‘love child’, Edwards strongly denies being the father of the woman’s child.
Edwards sat down with ABC NEWS “Nightline” where he acknowledged the affair with 42 year old Rielle Hunter, which began after she was hired to make documentary videos for his campaign.
Edwards stated on the show, “I am responsible for it. I alone am responsible for it.”
On Friday, Edwards released the following statement:
“In 2006, I made a serious error in judgment and conducted myself in a way that was disloyal to my family and to my core beliefs. I recognized my mistake and I told my wife that I had a liaison with another woman, and I asked for her forgiveness. Although I was honest in every painful detail with my family, I did not tell the public. When a supermarket tabloid told a version of the story, I used the fact that the story contained many falsities to deny it. But being 99 percent honest is no longer enough.
I was and am ashamed of my conduct and choices, and I had hoped that it would never become public. With my family, I took responsibility for my actions in 2006 and today I take full responsibility publicly. But that misconduct took place for a short period in 2006. It ended then. I am and have been willing to take any test necessary to establish the fact that I am not the father of any baby, and I am truly hopeful that a test will be done so this fact can be definitively established. I only know that the apparent father has said publicly that he is the father of the baby. I also have not been engaged in any activity of any description that requested, agreed to or supported payments of any kind to the woman or to the apparent father of the baby.”
So now Edwards must continue to greet the media and news reporters at his home, with his family by his side, and deal with this mess he created.
I’m not sure how this is going to look for any future campaigns Edwards launches.

i think its cool Jojo stands up for her individual role as an artist.
Her cd’s sell ok, but her singles do better on the charts.
Maybe some callabo with Lil Weezy, and Jojo will be all set!
Earlier this year, Jojo issued the following post on her Myspace blog:
“I was not interested in doing a television show like that because I did not want to be that kind of artist. I am more concerned with being a legitimate artist; not one created for the captive tween audience, from a television show. They were going to use the same formula that they did with Hillary Duff and her show, and I did not want to be a manufactured..
..artist. I wanted to do it on my own; the old fashioned way; with talent, determination, and hard work, and without a television show, which is fed to the tween masses. This is the same reason I have turned down every reality show that has been offered to me, since I signed my record deal. For me, it is about integrity.”
In recent news, several bloggers and media websites have questioned Jojo recently on the decision she turned down. Jojo told a mag, “No regrets. No regrets at all. Yeah they offered me the role…But it’s not really what I see for myself.”
You know what? Jojo is a pretty fine individual. I think the chick is pretty damn talented and has been holding her own since age 13. come on now!
