UPDATE: The stock market has plummeted about -777.68 points in just a few hours!!!!
The reason for the sudden burst? The House this morning rejected the $700 billion emergency rescue for the nation’s financial system. As of late last night, things were looking up for President Bush and his emergency plan. Republicans this morning had a different vibe on things.
The house voted 228-205, and just like that the bill was rejected.
Now, President Bush must come forth with a new revised plan to defeat the economic crisis at large. Bush planned to meet this afternoon with his Economic advisers to devise yet another rescue plan.
Crude oil futures fell $10.68 to close at $92.21 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. They have lost nearly $25 since last Monday, and dropped sharply as the House voting began.
Concerns that the crisis might be spreading to Europe helped to push down the value of the European common currency. The euro dropped against the dollar to $1.43 on Monday from $1.46 on Friday.

It looks like congressional leaders have got what they have been waiting for. The $700 Billion bailout Rescue Deal of banks and other financial institutions holding bad mortgages debts, should be underway by the reopen of the world’s stock markets tomorrow.
Congressional leaders will face yet another challenge this week, with the House expected to vote on the plan as soon as Monday, and Senate as soon Wednesday.
The two-stage bailout is a whopping $700 Billion, which is now federal debt on the nation’s taxpayers! damn!
Now here is the catch, the congressional leaders must divide the bailout into two phases, starting with the first $350 billion payout, then requiring a second congressional approval for the next installment.
“Getting this done soon, promptly, is absolutely critical to the confidence of the markets.” Sen, Judd Gregg, one of the leader negotiators, said Sunday, predicting the votes approve it this week. “The option of not passing is not acceptable.”
What do you guys think? This will bring our national debt to around $10-$13 Trillion, depending on what source you go by.
And what effects will this really have? Short term? Long term? Can we gaurantee this will be the “end-all” fix to this economic crisis?
Let’s watch and see how this plays out over the week.
Stay locked.
You don’t have to say too much about this fella now-a-days. Ne-yo is a Hip/Hop & R&B star. He’s had about 5 singles out this year, one after another off his ‘Gentleman of the Year’album.. Of course, each have been chart toppers, featuring Rihanna, Plies, and Chris Brown. His new single ‘Miss Independent’ is definitely going to be another great hit!

September 20, 2008: So on my list of things to do this weekend, I have decided FINALLY to transfer all my music from my Sony Vaio, to the IBM Thinkpad my college provides for students. We do get pretty hooked up!
So my Dad purchased me a Sony Vaio about 2 years ago, the computer is amazing. Weighs less than 2lbs, very fast, and is really great for traveling. I now do not need two laptops at home. With an additional desktop just down the hall.
Now that I transferred schools, I have been pretty lazy to switch everything over to the new IBM.
I just google’d a guide to transferring itunes libraries, playlists, counts, etc. over to a new computer. Apparently Apple already has us covered. There is a great website where they provide instructions on how to either transfer libraries via your iPod, or by burning data cd’s.
Which ever you prefer, the instructions are straight forward. I’m going to work on it now. Any questions, leave one in the comments.
Oh and GET A GRAVATAR!!!!
Former Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker and friend DJ AM were injured in a fatal plane crash before midnight on Friday. The Learjet 60 crashed during takeoff from South Carolina’s Columbia Metropolitan Airport.
Barker & DJ AM are said to be in critical condition, both being treated for severe burns at an Augusta, Georgia burn center.
The four other passengers on board perished.
The deceased have been identified as pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, CA. Co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, CA, Chris Baker, 29, of Studio City, and Charles Still, 25 of Los Angeles, CA.
Chris Baker of Studio City was Travis’s assistant.
WIS NEWS 10, of South Carolina spoke with a witness who saw a fireball cross the road. The man said he didn’t know what it was, until he was able to identify the pieces as the tail of a jet.
Apparently, Barker & DJ AM were running around trying to estinquish themselves. They told witnesses that there were four others on board, but the wreck was horrible.
I can’t believe these two guys survived. They are incredibly lucky.
R.I.P. to those four passengers that lost their lives.
Thursday Evening: First off, sorry for the slight errors on with the website. I’m not sure if you guys agree, but the text was a wee bit too small. I tried adjusting it on the ‘Theme Editor’ through WordPress, and then I found that all my sidebar widgets were much too small. Slight editing, etc. things are back!
So, I promised all of you that I would track my road to FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE! oh yea. At the age of 22, I figure now is a pretty damn good time to start. I’ve got that entrepreneural mind, and I’m putting those college bucks to good use!
I want to share with you my Adsense earnings for August and September. Now, blogsTODIEFOR.com has been officially open for 4 months. You may see the profits below and think why even bother posting. right? Are you surprised I’m not trying to sell you something? Some Gimmick or some tutorial to purchase? Nope, I’m just one of the bloggers out there that would like to share with you my blog, my interests, and my road to what will be come a very expansive site.
Below are my profits for August & September 2008.
I have to say, I’m pretty impressed for the first 4 months of being officially launched. If you check out my page impressions for August alone, some 753 hits. WordPress has just about the same numbers, give or take a few.
Clicks: 6
Page CTR: 0.80%
Page eCPM: $0.72
Earings: $0.54
Ok so as you know I’m a college student. So far, two weeks into the semester and my classes are going very nicely. Several group projects, lots of Law & History reading, but its manageable. So, I’m trying my best to post entries at night, early in the morning, and all over the WEEKEND. oh yeah. Now, I know fellow blogger, Nev, over at Nev’s Financial Blog is also a college student. He’s about 5 years in the making, grasping some serious masses of people, and learning how to make profit. As you can see below, September’s stats are a bit low. That again is due to “those” textbooks.
September 2008:
Page Impressions: 351
Clicks: 1
Page CTR: 0.28%
Page eCPM: $0.17
Earnings: $0.06
I’m still trying to investigate why the clicks are so low. I’ve replaced the ads, but I figure I may need to insert a few in between posts on the blogroll. That will be done soon!
Profits still dismal, but no sign of giving up here. This is no overnight success kids!

Hello WORLD! This morning I decided to check out the highlights on MTV about the VMAs. I watched the entire show, and I have to say it was mediocre. The Paramont Lot was a pretty cool concept for this ‘nothing is what it seems’ theme. The performances were really great, but the show lacked energy with the ‘in crowd’. When they zoomed into the stage with the video, I realized the “theatre” or whatever they constructed wasn’t all that big. It just didn’t feel like a VMA that I’m used to. The energy was a bit off, the host Russell Brand didn’t exactly make the crowd roar. I will give it to them for the sets. They did some pretty cool stuff with the stage, the walking stairs, and the special light effects with each of the performances.
Performances last night included: Rihanna, Pussy Cat Dolls, Jonas Brothers, Christina Aguilera, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, DJ AM, T.I., Kid Rock.
Did you enjoy the performances???
Check out some photos from the ’08 MTV VMAs.

OH YES, million dollar man himself Lil Wayne just performed.
SUNDAY EVENING: If any of you are watching the MTV VMAs you must have loved Lil Weezy’s performance. That man is amazing LIVE! He was rockin some fresh to death sneaks, and some spankin white pants. FRESH TO DEATH!
Although his pants were barely hanging on, his performance was SICK. He performed ‘ A Milli’ and then did a performance with T-Pain for ‘Got Money’.
So far this evening, Rihanna, Jonas Brothers, Christina Aguilera, and Rihanna with T.I.
MTV has quite the lineup. Now, I just saw Lupe Fiasco perform, but it was during the break for the ‘in house guests’. So basically, we just saw him do about 8 seconds of ‘Superstar’, and then commercial.
They just screwed Lupe! Well, I will have to post the video of his performance.
Big Winners so far????
Britney Spears (just won her 2nd of the night),
Chris Brown, and
Pussy Cat Dolls!
11:02PM: LIL WAYNE & KID ROCK ARE PERFORMING!!! HOLY YOU KNOW WHAT!

Anyone experience issues with their T-Mobile Service?
I’ve been on the T-Mobile Network for 5 years now. I started off with the T-Mobile Sidekick II. Then, upgrading to the T-Mobile Sidekick 3. When I purchased the Sidekick II I was all amp’d about the tricked out features. Those PDA’s are pretty nice. But, when it came to my service, and the ‘unlimited’ sidekick package for texting, Internet, AIM, I had various problems. AIM service was frequently unavailable. Web sites could barely load before I had to give up and opt for a DSL connection.
And then there was the phone service in general. I’ve never had so many problems with my service. People would call me, get my voicemail, or some automated voicemail with a female voice. Those voicemails never reached me. The texting was probably the one thing that sent me over the edge. I would sent texts, images, etc. People would never receive my messages! Some days, my inbox would fill up with messages from 3 days prior. Friends would send me text messages, and 8 times out of 10, I wouldn’t receive them.
The techs at T-Mobile at first were very helpful. They lead me through techniques to reset my phone and also to clear unused messages and content. Month after month the Sidekick did what I call ‘Shit the bed’. My sidekick was then referred to as the ‘Shit-Kick’. I’m sorry, it had to be done. After repeated issues, I again contacted the Techs while away at college last fall. I was told either to reset the Sidekick, turn it off, or possibly send in for an upgrade. I replaced about 4, one of which they told me had ‘water damage’ which just couldn’t have been possible. I did the water test on the flip side of the phone, and the phone was showing no signs of such.
I checked out the chat boards, blogs, and other such discussion panels and found that many Sidekick users complained of the same glitches. The problem as I understand it comes from within the Sidekick server called ‘Danger’. The techs told me that the Sidekick has its very own server. Apparently the Danger network is flawed and Sidekicks are an A-OK buy now a days. But, I’m still with T-Mobile. I upgraded my contract and purchased the T-Mobile Dash PDA. Windows Mobile, camera, easy access keyboard, fast Internet, and great features for your college needs. (hint hint) ha!
The phone is pretty sleek, with a nice rubber feeling surface on the back cover. I’ve dropped the phone a few times and the back never bruises. The reception and phone service on this PDA is actually totally different. No dropped calls, all texts/emails transmit, and it isn’t the sloppy ol’ sidekick in your back pocket. Because guys, it isn’t cool to lug one of those things around.
The Dash has treated me well, and I have reciprocated that security, but recently the service is festering problems yet again. I’m getting the, “I called you numerous times, yeah, it went straight to V-mail.”
Damn, why??? I know I’ve dropped the Dash a few times, but there is no visible damage. It has a pretty hard casing and very protective rubber overlay.
When I ever told my father that I was thinking of jumping ship to AT&T (his network of 10 years!) he was more concerned then happy. This meant he would be paying the contract termination fee and setup for new plan/phone at AT&T. I spoke of the iPhone, the new BLACK iPhone to be exact. But still he wasn’t jumping for joy.
So, I think I will hold off till winter sometime. Hopefully by then I will have some steady earnings from blogstoDIEFOR.com where I can then convince my father this phone is on my dime.
T-Mobile…..we shall wait and see.
