Note
It looks like Common isn't about to back down from the comments he made about Drake on his The Dreamer, The Believer cut "Sweet". After Drake shot back at him over the weekend at a concert in Vegas, Com went on Sway In The Morning yesterday to confirm that his verse on "Sweet" is in fact about Drake and other artists in his "category". Com says if he wants to battle, the game is on.

SATURDAY: I began my morning off at about 9:30 am changing up my website fonts, templates, etc. Over the past few weeks I have visited my website repeatedly, trying to figure out what wasn’t appealing to me.

This afternoon, I decided to head over to the WordPress Theme Directory to check out the stock of new sites. After scrolling through page after page I finally decided to check out the ’3-column fixed’ themes. The Cutline theme that I have been using for months uses the 3-column setup. I believe this setup is attractive to readers, it enhances your experience, and fills the site with more useful content on each sidebar.

As I searched the directory I came across this very theme, Xeiro. Just what I was looking for. FINALLY!!

So, this is the new template for the site. When I visit the site now, I feel more welcomed, and I also feel like I’m in a real blogging community. Agree?

Hope all of you are having a fun and SAFE weekend! Tropical storm Hanna is giving the Northeast a taste of her ugglyness. Kinda sucks, because yesterday was pretty damn nice. But hey, such as life! Tomorrow I will keep myself blogging at work, and then putting a few hours into the textbooks. Yes, studying that is. I have to say, first week of school was pretty great. Each of my professors are very professional and friendly. The workload is going to be a ton, but I’m really looking forward to my courses. I think I picked some damn good ones?? Haha!

UPDATES: I just updated my ‘Bio’ page. Check that out at the top of the Frontpage. Oh, and I will be adding my PODCAST! yes, I have been working on my playlist, and getting the whole player setup. I’m so excited about this.

Can we just stop for a second and admire this new layout??? Somehow, I’ve impressed myself. And I did all the work. HA!

So, I’m a Senior in college who just bought books for first semester.

Wanna guess how much it cost me this time around???

a whopping $800!!!!!

I’m sure some of you college kids out there feel the pain. It hurts honestly. I had some friends laughing over my $800 purchase, compared to their $950 spent on Bio textbooks!

As you probably know by now, I’m a 22-year old senior in college, at a pretty challenging Business school in the Northeast. I’m currently studying Management, with a minor in Political Science. I guess I should look forward to buying books next semester. Not!

Jesshh…..the cost for education these days. Last year before I transferred out of Boston, I remember buying textbooks that were almost all used, and still I ended up spending around $700. A girl in my Organizational Behavior class told me she purchased most of her books from eBay and Half.com. She said she probably saved about $40-$60.

I remember last year while in Boston, I tried to return my textbooks to my bookstore at the end of the semester to receive cash back. About 4 of the books I had, the school was not using again. Why you might ask? Because a new edition was issued. So on that note, the only textbooks I remember I had left over were my Financial Management textbook and Macroeconomics. I purchased my Finance textbook at my bookstore for about $145. 5 months later, the book was worth $35. Is it even worth cashing in at that point?? I feel like my investment went belly up!

So, what I plan to do at the end of this semester is list my books on eBay, or possibly find a few kids on campus that need textbooks for a quick purchase. No hassle on shipping/payment.

Wanna know what I’m taking this semester??

1. Modern History

2. Global Politics

3. Law, Justice & Society

4. Organizational Behavior

5. Organizational Management

yep…five classes…it’s gonna be a long semester!

So….As I look to enter Graduate or Law School in the next year or two I can only imagine the price I will have to pay for more knowledge, and a better paycheck.

But as my stepfather repeats to me quite frequently, “Knowledge is Power.”

“Diddy Obama Blog..Diddy Obama Blog”…thanks Puff, we got it.

Diddy has released yet another video on his YouTube page. No Diddy isn’t complaining about gas prices forcing him to fly commercial. This time Diddy wants to speak to all you voters out there, and anyone interested in watching him walk around in circles talking jibberish.

I’m now concerned. There are no crackheads nor black people in Alaska???? Diddy, how do you know such a thing???

Sept. 1, 2008: Hello World! Good day to you all.

I’m sure many of you have been following the latest news on the Democratic National Convention, and John McCain’s decision to elect Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin as his VP running mate.

I’m wondering if any of you have been reading the rumors and reports about the Alaskan Governor and the speculation that she may not be the mother of her 5th child, Trig. Read the rest of this entry »
