Looks like R. Kelly has put himself in another ugly mess.

According to reports, Chicago police were tipped off to check out Kelly’s Chicago home because it was said a young teenage girl was staying with the artist.

The teenage girl is said to be just 17-years old and reportedly has engaged in romantic relations with Mr. Kelly. The age of consent in Illinois is 17 years old, but the police must establish if the young girl and Kelly were involved in any inappropriate sexual activity before her 17th birthday.

Tipsters told police that the young girl had recently celebrated her 17th birthday at Kelly’s home, but her stay lasted much longer than just a few hours.

Currently, Kelly is touring in South Africa and will be questioned upon return to the U.S.
