Def Jam 25th Anniversary

Check out the upcoming cover of XXL magazine celebrating Def Jam‘s 25th year anniversary.

Pretty darn good cover with many of Def Jam’s artists featuring Fabolous, Rick Ross, Ghostface Killah, Redman, Method Man, Scarface, ?uestlove, Juelz Santana, Onyx, EPMD, and Warren G.

that’s some pretty big label with some cutting edge artists.

rock on Def Jam!

Robin Thicke has just released new music from his fourth studio album, which is set to hit stores by the end of the year.

The new song Sex Therapy is actually pretty darn good with its slower beat.

We look forward to Robin’s next CD release…

Kanye playing basketball

Fresh off of announcing that his tour with Lady Gaga, Fame Kills, would not be taking place, Kanye Westwas spotted playing basketball in L.A. over the weekend.

Maybe playing b-ball will get some of his aggression out.

Check out this new video from behind the scenes at the 2009 MTV VMAs earlier in September.

The video shows Beyonce attempting to stop Lil’ Mama from walking on stage during Jay-Z‘s performance with Alicia Keys.

You can see Beyonce grab Lil’ Mama’s hand, but the lil’ girl just kept walking and headed on stage with the two performers.

Still weird huh?

Check out this new video for Yo Gotti‘s remix to his hit ’5 Star Chick’ featuring Gucci Mane, Trina, and Nicki Minaj.

Not our most favorite song out right now, but the girls and Gucci Mane set this track on fire.

Good work guys.

Shyne2

Just on the brink of being released from prison after serving his 8-year sentence, Shyne decided to clear the air about some rumors that Diddy reached out to him a few weeks ago.

Diddy on Shyne being released from jail in October:

“It’s a blessing that [Shyne's] coming home. I spoke to him like a couple of weeks ago and he sounded like he was in good spirits. I know he can’t wait to get home. I know he is definitely going to heat the whole scene up. He was definitely one of talented young artists that I had the pleasure to work with. I’m quite sure he’s been using his time wisely and has some heat.”

Shyne’s side of the story on Diddy:

“I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combs’ imagination. He never spoke with me, he never visited me nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident.”

Huh….interesting how Diddy would release such a statement to the media, knowing that the same people would be looking to hear from Shyne as he is ready to leave prison.

Not sure why Diddy would lie….it definitely sounds like Shyne isn’t planning on visiting his old friend upon release.
