Earlier last year, it was her home in Henderson, Nevada that went into foreclosure. Now, it looks like Toni Braxton is facing the same downfall on her home in Duluth, Georgia. The WSJ reports that the holder of Braxton’s mortgage debt won bankruptcy court approval to start proceedings against her GA home. Apparently Toni doesn’t own the property, a trust does.
She owns $1.5 million on her mortgage, while the property has been appraised at $1.2 million. Braxton told the court she wants to stay in the home. Unfortunately her financial mess just keeps getting worse, after filing for Chapter 7 liquidation last fall listing debts between $10-$50 million with assets in the $1 million-$10 million range.
Second bankruptcy filing in 13-years, second foreclosure in less than 5- years. Not looking so good Ms. Braxton. Might wanna figure out where exactly in the $10-$50 million debt range you fall.
Nicki Minaj is a ratings powerhouse! Over the weekend, Roman helped Saturday Night Live earn its second highest ratings of the season. Saturday’s episode which was hosted by The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg, averaged a 3.2 rating with aduilts 18-49 in 25 markets.
The episode ties with the September 25 season premiere starring Katy Perry and Amy Poehler. It trailed only behind the January 8 show hosted by funnyman Jim Carey.
People must have really enjoyed catching Nicki’s performances of “Moment 4 Life” and “Right Thru Me”. We thought her skits “Bride of Blackenstein” and “Creep” were hilarious. Good work Minaj.

Brittany Murphy’s Hollwood Hills home (formerly owned by Britney Spears) has gone into foreclosure and will be auctioned off tomorrow, January 31st. You may recall, back in December 2009, Murphy died in the home due to a case of acute pneumonia and severe anemia. In March of 2010, Brittany’s mother Sharon put the home on the market with an asking price of $7.25 million.
In April 2010, Brittany’s mother took the home off the market. Just a few weeks later, Brittany’s husband Simon Monjack was found dead in the home. It looks like Brit’s mom can’t keep up with the mortgage, as $4,035,666.92 is still owed on the home. An auction is set for Monday morning at 10:30 am.
