Archive for February 2011

Russell Simmons and ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons have finally sold their Saddle River, NJ mansion after 4 years on and off the market. The couple first put their 35,000 square ft. crib on the market for $23.8 million back in April of 2007. From there the price dropped every few months, $19.88 million in August 2008, $16.5 million in October 2009, and finally $13.5 million early last year.
According to the real estate report, the house sold for $10 million on February 15th. The couple are taking a hit on the property, having bought the mans in 2001 for $13.5 million. Ouch! 3.5 million loss. Bet Russell and Kimora didn’t feel a thing.

Over the weekend, Kid Cudi announced via Twitter that his Dream On imprint has been dissolved. Cudi launched the label in 2009 with partners Patrick “Plain Pat” Reynolds and producer Emile Haynie, distributed through Universal Motown via Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music label.
Via Twitter:
“Dream is over. New label announcement soon. Pat and Emile are doing their own thing. I have a diff vision, for music, for the world. im just doing the right thing. people lose sight of the mission. cant expect everyone to be built like me. cant expect people to have the same morals as me. the new label will be formed with @DotDaGenius.”
