hello world!!!

first off, I would like to apologize for my very LONG delay in updating the site and providing you with new content. I just finished junior year of college and this year has been quite the experience. Last summer when I launched blogstodiefor.com, I was hoping to develop a flexible schedule to blog in between classes and in my free time away from school and my studies. As many of you college students out there may know, time is very valuable!!! There is just never enough hours in the day! Therefore, I am very sorry for the delay and I greatly appreciate the faithful visitors that continue to venture to my site daily! My blog statistics prove that there are many people following this lil’ ol blog, so I have no plan in slowing this boat down anytime soon!

I can’t let college keep me from fulfilling my dream to have this mega blog! This means you will be seeing a lot more of this blog to come!

Lastly, summer is finally here! I hope all of you enjoy this great time of year across the world!

Thursday Evening: First off, sorry for the slight errors on with the website. I’m not sure if you guys agree, but the text was a wee bit too small. I tried adjusting it on the ‘Theme Editor’ through WordPress, and then I found that all my sidebar widgets were much too small. Slight editing, etc. things are back!

So, I promised all of you that I would track my road to FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE! oh yea. At the age of 22, I figure now is a pretty damn good time to start. I’ve got that entrepreneural mind, and I’m putting those college bucks to good use!

I want to share with you my Adsense earnings for August and September. Now, blogsTODIEFOR.com has been officially open for 4 months. You may see the profits below and think why even bother posting. right? Are you surprised I’m not trying to sell you something? Some Gimmick or some tutorial to purchase? Nope, I’m just one of the bloggers out there that would like to share with you my blog, my interests, and my road to what will be come a very expansive site.

Below are my profits for August & September 2008.

I have to say, I’m pretty impressed for the first 4 months of being officially launched. If you check out my page impressions for August alone, some 753 hits. WordPress has just about the same numbers, give or take a few.

Clicks: 6

Page CTR: 0.80%     

Page eCPM: $0.72

Earings: $0.54

Ok so as you know I’m a college student. So far, two weeks into the semester and my classes are going very nicely. Several group projects, lots of Law & History reading, but its manageable. So, I’m trying my best to post entries at night, early in the morning, and all over the WEEKEND. oh yeah. Now, I know fellow blogger, Nev, over at Nev’s Financial Blog is also a college student. He’s about 5 years in the making, grasping some serious masses of people, and learning how to make profit. As you can see below, September’s stats are a bit low. That again is due to “those” textbooks.

September 2008:

Page Impressions: 351

Clicks: 1

Page CTR: 0.28%

Page eCPM: $0.17

Earnings: $0.06

 I’m still trying to investigate why the clicks are so low. I’ve replaced the ads, but I figure I may need to insert a few in between posts on the blogroll. That will be done soon!

Profits still dismal, but no sign of giving up here. This is no overnight success kids!
