First Obama, then Jay-Z, and now T.I. steps forward to show his support for same-sex marriage. During his recent interview with Sway on RapFix Live, TIP spoke on his personal stance.
“Just to speak honestly and being frank, I don’t care. I think that if a matter doesn’t affect your daily life, you shouldn’t take a hard stand on it. If it’s not something that directly affects you, if it doesn’t affect you, then what difference does it make to you what other people are doing with their lives?”
He continued:
“I think that you should be able to do whatever you want to do. I don’t see how it matters one way or another.”
TIP also confirmed that when he gets off probation in September he will hit the poles to vote for his guy. “I don’t think that’s a hard question”, stated T.I. Watch for his new album Trouble Man due out on September 4th.
Now THIS is the kind of interview I’ve been waiting for from Ms. Jones. Lil’ Kim stopped by Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club this morning to discuss a host of hot topics. For the first time in awhile, Kim spoke on what has taken her so long to release new music, and of course a new studio album.
She touches on her REAL thoughts about the Notorious movie, doing her “hollywood thing”, former boyfriends, Biggie’s Mom Voletta Wallace, her real beef with Nicki Minaj and much more.
Hopefully the teddy bears bring him back to life.
A few days back 50 Cent and DJ Drama were supposed to appear on Funkmaster Flex’s radio program to promote his new mixtape, The Lost Tape but unfortunately they had to cancel because 50 wasn’t feeling well. Well, the duo still haven’t appeared on Flex’s show and 50 revealed last night via Twitter that he’s currently holed up in the hospital for a mystery illness, most likely some sort of a stomach virus or intestine blockage.
Fif tweeted, “I’m in the hospital but my gangsta grillz LOST TAPE is done so it will be out on time.”
According to his follow-up tweets, he’s still in the hospital and awaiting surgery.
The-Dream has been fairly quiet since releasing his video for “Kill The Lights” and his performance at SXSW back in March. The hit producer/singer announced via Twitter that his new album, Love IV will arrive on August 14th. The project features collaborations from Mary J. Blige, Gucci Mane and R. Kelly. Here’s more from Terius about the project:
“LOVE IV is the BEST Album I’ve made,” he tweeted. “I don’t care what the sales will be. I will do my best to Challenge your Taste And Knowledge. I will Leave no Holes in this Album Period, no room to be Hated only Adored or simply just say ‘you don’t fuck with me’ but what U won’t say is Dream Album is Mediocre or Sucks.”
Lil B got the net talking last week when he sent off a few Tweets implying that he might be working on some new material with Drake. Fuse got to the bottom of the rumors and let B clear the air once and for all:
“Yeah, we’re about to do something real big. I can’t speak on it too much right now, but Drake is the only artist [Lil B] wants to work with. We’ve talked about doing some production. [Drake] wants to do something and we’re gonna make it happen. Something real big, so just look out for it.”
Karen Civil recently caught up with MMG’s newest artist Omarion and talked about his new record deal, working with the entire Maybach Music family, on if we’ll see more of his dancing skills in the future, if there will ever be a B2K reunion, new material and much more.

Another year, another wicked lineup. Missy Elliott & Timbaland, Nas, Mac Miller, Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar, Dipset and others are locked in for this year’s Rock the Bells fest presented by BlackBerry.
This should be quite the show, as Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony will reunite for their 20th anniversary and will perform their ’95 LP E. 1991 Eternal in its entirety. Missy Elliott and Timbaland should have a pretty interesting set, as the two have been steadily working on new music for both their upcoming albums.
Expect performances also from Method Man & Redman, Prodigy, Yelawolf, Salt-N-Pepa, A$AP Rocky, Tyga, Jay Rock and more.
3-city concert kicks off on August 18 and 19 in San Bernardino, CA, August 25 and 26 in Mountain View, CA, and September 1 and 2 in Holmdel, NJ. Check out more info at rockthebells.net
Anyone a bit surprised to see both Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne at the Mayweather vs. Cotto fight last weekend? Good, because we were too. 50 Cent recently caught up with MTV and spoke on his former rival Weezy coming out to support Floyd, and what exactly Biebs was doing there.
Justin Bieber’s appearance:
“Justin is also a Floyd fan. They love the sport. A lot of people like it and haven’t actually made contact or received anything to make them feel like it was cool or comfortable enough for them to come,” 50 said about JB’s much-discussed ring walk. “When it actually happens and it goes down like that, it feels good. When they get a chance to see different genres, different people, everybody’s excited.”
Lil Wayne’s appearance:
“Floyd has a huge passion for music that people don’t know about. It’s a big part of what makes him comfortable and takes his mind off of how hard he has to work to stay being the #1 fighter in the world. With Wayne’s music momentum, he’s a part of that; he’s been a part of the playlist, so it’s cool.”
We’ve all been waiting for an update on T.I.’s new album Trouble Man, and that’s exactly what he did yesterday when he visited Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 radio program with DJ Drama. While on air, TIP premiered his new single “Like That” for the first time, and also confirmed the second season of The Family Hustle will return to the small screen on September 3. To coincide with his show, T.I. says Trouble Man will hit stores on September 4th.
Kels is hitting us with not one but two covers for his upcoming 11th studio album, Write Me Back. I like the one above with his specs on the marquee, but peep the more simpler artwork for the deluxe version below.
