In support of Ubisoft’s new game Tom Clancy’s Ghost Racon: Future Soldier, Kendrick Lamar drops a new record inspired by the video game entitled “War Is My Love”. Although the song may be all about the game, this is a dope dope tune. Here’s more from Kendrick on recording this:
“When I recorded ‘War Is My Love,’ I did my best to put myself in the shoes of the Ghosts from the video game and capture that feeling of being willing to wage war and do whatever it takes to claim victory,” said the Black Hippy, who is currently working on his highly-anticipated debut. “And when I started really getting into the game, I thought it actually matched perfectly.”
I usually fill up pretty nicely at Denny‘s, but this is one hellova breakfast hosted by Kreayshawn and 2 Chainz. Kreay gets those pancakes stacking like some large bills. Expect this on her debut LP, Somethin’ Bout Kreay, due out on August 14. Still hungry?
A$AP Rocky performed for the very first time in Jersey over the weekend at the 2012 Bamboozle festival. Here’s footage of him performing a bunch of tracks off his LiveLoveA$AP mixtape including “Wassup”, “Purple Swag”, “Brand New Guy”, “Roll One Up” and “Get Lit”.
Asher Roth would rather be outside in the green grassy, and we know just the feeling because its a rainy damp day here on the east coast. Roth plays with nature on his new track “Outside” which should be featured on his new LP, Is This Too Orange?. Hopefully with new music leaking, this means the project is just around the corner.
B.o.B. takes us to Paree on his new visual for “Play For Keeps”, off his popular new album, Strange Clouds. You’ve got to be one special person to get the Eiffel Tower lit up like a Christmas tree.
Ok, we’ve got your first single since 2004. We’re good now, thanks. Now that Diddy and French Montana have brought Ma$e back to life, he drops his new record with DJ Smallz. He’s still there, but he just doesn’t sound right on this one. Maybe Diddy should craft something for Ma$e to make his great return on. We all know he just wants a few records out and then he’ll return to his ministry.
I’ve been wondering what festival Mac would be performing at next. One of my favorite dudes, Mac Miller hit the stage at the 2012 Bamboozle festival at Asbury Park in NJ on Friday. Here’s footage of him performing his singles “Frick Park Market” and “Donald Trump”. Guys got energy for days, huh?
More video after the jump.
“I’m hungry / hungry for this money / call me Kreay Hefner/ Playboy Bunny”
She lives! Jesh, I was wondering where crazy Kreay went because she’s barely been heard from over the past few months. All I do know is that she’s currently prepping her debut, Somethin’ Bout Kreay. Here’s one of the featured tracks off the project featuring 2 Chainz. Ok, beat is heavy but her raps always sound so amateur. Thoughts? Trash can quality? Hmm…
Although Chris Brown welcomed everyone to his Fun Zone at the Billboard Music Awards last night, many people including myself weren’t too impressed as he lip-synced his entire performance of “Turn Up The Music”. Yes, his set was electrifying and full non-stop dancing….but no singing for real? He’s turning into the modern day Britney Spears.
Check it all go down up top. Think he should have sung live? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below. Boy does he try to make us believe he’s singing so hard.
Looks like we can expect a lot more of rapping Breezy on his new album Fortune, because he let go this new tune “Bitch I’m Paid” over the weekend. Although he’s getting a catching a lot of flack for lip syncing at the Billboard Music Awards, this should keep some people fairly quiet.
