Hello to all our faithful BLOGStodiefor followers, its been a few days since we’ve updated all because of an internet virus that wouldn’t die!
Without any connection to the internet and endless Viagra and porno popups our dependable ThinkPad had to go in for service. Luckily, within just a few hours a new hard drive was installed and all our personal files were intact.
Lesson Learned: Don’t use an unprotected wireless network even though you’ve been using one for several years with no issues. When there’s no WiFi in small beach communities, tourists gotta do what they gotta do.
And no….we didn’t go to the extreme as the woman in this photo, but damn do viruses suck BIG time!
Thanks for your patience….

Tiger Woods made his highly anticipated return back to golf this week, playing in the Masters Golf Tournament at the Augusta National Club.
According to Nielsen Co. ESPN’s coverage of the Maters’ first round on Thursday had a 3.6 rating in overnight measurement of the nation’s biggest markets. That’s 50% more than measurements for last year’s opening day, and 80% more than it was in 2008.
Hope he still has what it takes….

Looks like all the users of the popular Sidekick device by T-Mobile have been going crazy, because the Danger data network has been down for several days.
According to reports, Microsoft recently purchased the Danger data network, and in the process some “restructuring” initiatives were taken on. Whatever the changes, Sidekick users have been unable to use their data services or rectify the problem with T-Mobile.
T-Mobile released a statement on Saturday, stating that it was hopeful that most data services would turn on within the working day. That time never came.
Data networks are still down, and many Sidekick owners are outraged by the lack of customer service for this problem. Although some good news has come, T-Mobile is assuring that many users would be receiving credits to their data plan.
We can’t help but say……This isn’t the first time something like this has happened with the Danger network. While we were using the Sidekick II for over a year, the data service was greatly unreliable and shotty in many areas that were thought to be “well-covered” areas.
The Sidekick drama continues……

Sorry pal, the law won!
On Monday, Bernie Madoff was sentenced to 150 years in prison for the biggest fraud scheme in history.
Madoff’s lawyers were trying to get a lighter sentence of about 7-10 years but the judge just wasn’t feeling the lenient sentence.
The 71-year old said that he now lives “in a tormented state now, knowing the pain and suffering I’ve created.”
District Judge Denny Chin issued the maximum sentence stating “Here the message must be sent that Mr. Madoff’s crimes were extraordinarily evil and that this kind of manipulation of the system is not just a bloodless crime that takes place on paper, but one instead that takes a staggering toll.”
Bernie addressed the court and his victims telling them that he was very sorry for his actions, but clearly those words meant nothing at this point.
damn right moron!
Ruth Madoff even gave a statement saying that she was lied to by her husband and that she knew nothing of the fraud her husband was committing.
Ruth stated “I am embarrassed and ashamed,” she said. “Like everyone else, I feel betrayed and confused. The man who committed this horrible fraud is not the man whom I have known for all these years.”
not sure anyone actually believes that Ruth didn’t know swat about what was going on?
As part of the sentence, Bernie and his wife must sell their $7 million Manhattan apartment, an $11 million estate in Palm Beach, FL, and a $4 million home on Long Island. Other assets include a place in France, and a $2.2 million boat that the couple own.
Ruth is allowed to walk away with $2.5 million.
We doubt this is all Ruth will be left with.
