The Los Angeles Times have written a piece on Fantasia Barrino amidst her drug overdose two weeks ago and the release of her new album Back to Me.
Fantasia was interviewed for the article which discusses what exactly happened when news hit the internets that she attempted suicide. Barrino breaks down her relationship with Antwaun Cook and discusses how she’s getting her life back in order.

Fantasia Barrnino appeared on Good Morning America this morning (August 24th) to give her first sit-down interview since her overdose on aspirin and sleep medication two weeks ago today.
Barrino says of her August 10th suicide attempt, “I was just overloaded, for six years I’ve been carrying so much…I always take a lickin’ and keep on tickin.’”
Fantasia says she felt like her life was falling apart when it was rumored that she was the reason why her boyfriend, Antwaun Cook, and his wife’s marriage fell apart. It was even believed that Antwaun’s wife wanted to sue Fantasia for breaking up the couple’s marriage.
“It just become heavy for me, so I just wanted to be away from the noise,” says Barrino. “I just began to grow tired of taking so many licks.”

Fantasia Barrino may not be in the clear for allegedly breaking up the marriage of her boyfriend Antwaun Cook.
According to Fantasia’s attorney, under North Carolina’s domestic laws, “women can sue women for stealing husbands.” Legal papers filed by Antwaun’s wife claim the pair had an “adulterous affair” which broke up their marriage.
Fantasia’s lawyer says a lawsuit could possibly be filed because in NC there are certain “heartbalm torts….where a wife can sue a third party for having a relationship with her husband” –which is called alienation of affection.
We’ve heard of this type of thing on Dateline, and the wife suing does win her lawsuit and receives a hefty settlement from her cheating ex.

TMZ is reporting that Fantasia Barrino was rushed to a North Carolina hospital last night where she was treated for a “medical overdose.”
Barrino was brought into a medical center around 8:55 P.M., but it’s unclear whether the OD was intentional or accidential.
Damn! This has been a pretty hard week for Fantasia, as she was accused of making a sex tape with her married boyfriend and ruining his marriage. Fantasia claims she is not responsible for destructing the couples marriage.
