Well, looks like all the speculation was wrong about Jay-Z dumping Rihanna for Rita Ora. At their Watch The Throne European tour stop at London’s O2 Arena Sunday evening, Jay-Z and Kanye brought out Rihanna to help them perform some of their hit tracks. Up top, check them out performing “All of the Lights” and below “Run This Town”. Wonder if she will continue to perform with them?

They’re back! Jay-Z and Kanye West kicked off the European leg of their Watch The Throne tour at the 02 Arena in London on Friday evening. Check out footage of Kanye reciting “Power” up top. Below, the boys perform their hit single “N*ggas In Paris”. I wonder if it will get as crazy as it did in the states?

This can’t be real. This is turning out to be like Detox. It seems like its taken Jay Electronica a decade to record his debut, Act II: Patents Of Nobility (The Turn), which I was almost certain would be released mid-2011 with a few updates from Jay, etc. Way back in March 2011,  Elec confirmed  that the project was complete, his Roc Nation boss is now saying that the album is “really close”. Really, now? Close as in another year? Or close as in we’ll see it by the end of the summer? I’m sure Hov isn’t fibbing, but we need a solid release date soon.

Freeway x Jay Z Is Freeway Supposed To Be On Stage With Jay Z?

For whatever reason, Philly rapper Freeway decided to hop the stage during Jay-Z’s ‘Made In America’ press conference yesterday. Not exactly sure Philly’s Mayor Michael Nutter wanted him up there. But then again, does anyone think Jay wanted him on stage either? Do remember what happened when Lil Mama jumped the stage during Jay and Alicia Keys’ ’09 VMA’s performance.

Hear what Jay-Z has to say about supporting gay marriage and backing President Obama’s stance. Jay made a good point: discriminating against gay citizens is the same as discriminating against blacks.

Rewind: Jay-Z Announces ‘Made In America’ festival

jay z111 Jay Z Doesnt Feel Rushed To Get Back In The Studio, Plans To Spend More Time With Daughter Blue Ivy

This is kind of a bummer. We haven’t really heard any new music from Jay-Z since the birth of he and Beyonce’s baby daughter, Blue Ivy back in January. It looks like we’re going to have to wait much longer because according to HOV, he isn’t rushing himself to get back into the studio to work on new material.

He briefly spoke with Billboard during his Made In America festival announcement in Philly earlier today about his decision to spend more time with his baby daughter.

“I thought I would be more inspired to have all these new feelings to talk about, but I really just want to hang out with my daughter. I want to enjoy this time for what it is. I’m sure that bug to get back in the studio will come back at some point.”

Ever since Jay-Z dropped the 24-second clip for “Made In America”, everyone has been wondering is he headlining a new tour or working on his next solo project? The New York Times has revealed that Jay-Z will officially announce the “Made In America” Music Festival, a 2-day event that will take place over Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 1 and 2nd) at Philly’s Fairmont Park.

The new festival will feature some 28-acts with artists from various genres including Hip-Hop, Rock, Latin, R&B, and Dance. Hova will curate and headline the event.

If your interested in checking out the fest, you can purchase tickets this Wednesday, May 23 at Ticketmaster and Live Nation.

Diddy and Jay Z 2 Diddy, Jay Z, & Dr. Dre Top <i/>Forbes 2012 Hip Hop List Of Top Earners

It’s like last year all over again. Although there were some increases in income from Hip Hop’s top earners, the names have pretty much remained the same. Forbes rolls through with their annual Hip-Hop List and this year once again Bad Boy honcho Diddy comes in at No. 1 with a net worth of $550 million. Jay-Z snags the No. 2 spot, with Dr. Dre, Birdman, and 50 Cent rounding out the top 5.

Wonder if we’ll see any surprises for 2013?

1. Sean “Diddy” Combs – $550 Million

2. Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter – $460 Million

3. Andre “Dr. Dre” Young – $270 Million

4. Bryan “Birdman” Williams – $125 Million

5. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson -$100 Million

Another season. Another campaign. Jay-Z‘s come up didn’t happen over night, and he proves just that in his new Roc-A-Wear commercial, following him from Marcy projects to the opening of the Barclay Center in Brooklyn.
