Ha! This is awesome! Nicki Minaj revealed a few weeks back that she was thinking of dressing as Lil Wayne for Halloween. Little did we know, Ms. Minaj wasn’t joking. Minaj transformed into Lady Weezy on the set of Birdman‘s new video for “Y.U Mad” featuring she and Lil Wayne. Sporting long blonde dreads, wifebeater, boxers above her pants, and a few blinged out pieces.
While on set, Birdman explained how the song came about as the first single from his upcoming album, Bigga Than Life. “Nicki gave me that song. She called me one day like, ‘Stunna, I got a record for you I think you would like,’” stated the Cash Money honcho to MTV News.
“I jumped on it and put my son on it. I liked it from the start, Working with Nicki is just special anyway and I felt good about it, so we rocked with it,” continued Birdman. “I don’t think anyone is actually mad. It’s just a figure of speech,” explained Weezy. I think Nicki just sounded good saying mad at that point in the song. I don’t think it would’ve been cooler if she said, ‘That’s why you glad. We have to ask her next time I see her.”

Erykah Badu comes through with the second installment of her new single “Out Of My Mind, Just In Time”. Ms. Badu explains the concept behind the videos:
“The first movement is called ‘Recovering Undercover Over-lover.’ It actually sums up the whole album, because I’m talking about love and emotion – ‘I need you to do this,’ ‘I want you to do this,’ ‘You make me feel like this,’ ‘Why don’t you feel like this?’ It’s typical of how you feel in relationships. The second movement is called … ‘Easier Said Than Done,’ and it’s about how hard it is to change after you’ve been in a relationship for so long. And then the third movement is called ‘But Not This Time,’ because even though I’ve done things a certain way for so long, I won’t do that this time”.
