Parts of Japan’s eastern coast are left in ruin today, after one of the largest earthquakes slammed the coast killing hundreds of people and damaging most of the objects in its path yesterday, March 10th. The 8.9 offshore quake unleashed a 23-foot tsunami and was followed for hours by more than 50 aftershocks, many of which were more than magnitude 6.0.
Several cities and villages along the 1,300-mile stretch of coastline were also shaken by the violent tremors, that reached as far away as Tokyo.
Unbelievably sad. Leave your thoughts/comments below.
Looks like Ja Rule won’t be enjoying a free summer. According to reports, the NY rapper is set to report to prison in June stemming from charges from a 2007 gun case.
Billboard.com reports that Ja will start his two-year jail term on June 8th. In December, he plead guilty to attempted weapon possession after police pulled him over for speeding following a concert at NYC’s Beacon Theatre. Cops inspected the vehicle and discovered a loaded gun in the backseat.
Before he starts his bid, Ja is wrapping up his next album The Renaissance Project, another mixtape (maybe), and several tax issues.
You think his fans will wait for his return??? Leave a comment below.
This should be real interesting/entertaining. In a recent sit down interview with MTV’s Rap Fix Live, rapper Fabolous announced that he was approached by the execs over at Twitter to collaborate on a coffee table style Twitter book.
The book will include many of Fab’s trending topics which have made his Twitter page very popular in the past year.
Sounds lucrative.
Octomom Nadya Suleman is once again facing financial problems after it was recently announced she’s going on welfare and that her home is about to go into foreclosure.
A source close to Suleman says, “Nadya has nannies and huge expenses raising 14 children. She needs a lot of money just to keep up with the basics. And now the income has dried up and she didn’t make enough in the past year and a half to live off of it.”
The source said Nadya, who has received public assistance before for her older disabled children, will go on welfare “very soon.” Not only is she facing welfare, Nadya has fallen behind on her mortgage payments and her mortgage holder is ready to begin the foreclosure process “right now.”
But all things could be saved if Suleman takes up an offer proposed by Vivid Entertainment —$500,000 to star in a one-hour porn video. Should she accept, Vivid can “arrange for payment to happen quickly so that you will get paid in advance of your October 9th deadline.”
Shit son she’s screwed. She better accept that offer quick before that $500k offer is off the table. Then again that amount probably wont last her a year. Maybe a porn contract for 10 years would work?

Former U.S. senator and Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards, admitted Friday to an extramarital affair. Although reports and pictures have surfaced of Edwards with his ‘love child’, Edwards strongly denies being the father of the woman’s child.
Edwards sat down with ABC NEWS “Nightline” where he acknowledged the affair with 42 year old Rielle Hunter, which began after she was hired to make documentary videos for his campaign.
Edwards stated on the show, “I am responsible for it. I alone am responsible for it.”
On Friday, Edwards released the following statement:
“In 2006, I made a serious error in judgment and conducted myself in a way that was disloyal to my family and to my core beliefs. I recognized my mistake and I told my wife that I had a liaison with another woman, and I asked for her forgiveness. Although I was honest in every painful detail with my family, I did not tell the public. When a supermarket tabloid told a version of the story, I used the fact that the story contained many falsities to deny it. But being 99 percent honest is no longer enough.
I was and am ashamed of my conduct and choices, and I had hoped that it would never become public. With my family, I took responsibility for my actions in 2006 and today I take full responsibility publicly. But that misconduct took place for a short period in 2006. It ended then. I am and have been willing to take any test necessary to establish the fact that I am not the father of any baby, and I am truly hopeful that a test will be done so this fact can be definitively established. I only know that the apparent father has said publicly that he is the father of the baby. I also have not been engaged in any activity of any description that requested, agreed to or supported payments of any kind to the woman or to the apparent father of the baby.”
So now Edwards must continue to greet the media and news reporters at his home, with his family by his side, and deal with this mess he created.
I’m not sure how this is going to look for any future campaigns Edwards launches.
Randy Pausch, the Carnegie Mellon professor who became famous for his YouTube video called the ‘Last Lecture’, died Friday of complications from pancreatic cancer. Paush died at his home in southern Virginia.
Pausch is survived by his wife Jai, two sons Dylan, 6, and Logan, 3, and his daughter Chloe, 2.
Pausch’s wife said Friday, “I’d like to thank the millions of people who have offered their love, prayers and support. Randy was so happy and proud that the lecture and book inspired parents to revist their priorities, particularly their relationships with their children. The outpouring of cards and emails really sustained him.”
The ‘Last Lecture’ has been atop or near the top of USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list since it was published in April. This week it is No. 8. It has been translated into 30 languages, and nearly 30 million copies are in print.
My condolences go out to Randy’s family and friends!
Almost 12 years after 6-year old JonBenet Ramsey was found dead in her home, new DNA tests confirm that JonBenet’s parents were not involved in her death.
According to reports, prosecutors were able to clear JonBenet’s parents, John & Patsy, and old her older brother Wednesday for the unexplained killing.
District attorney Mary Lacy stated that new DNA tests point to an unidentified outsider. According to Lacy, it was the new “touch DNA” tests that were done on skin cells left behind on JonBenet’s underwear that point to a third party and not a family member.
John Ramsey spoke Wednesday on the new tests that have been conducted, “I think the people that are in charge of the investigation are fouced on that, and that gives me a lot of comfort. Certainly we are grateful that they acknowledged that we, based on that, certainly could not have been involved. “
Patsy Ramsey as you may remember, passed away in 2006 from ovarian cancer.
During the investigation after JonBenet’s death, police found a drop of blood on JonBenet’s underwear that matched it to the DNA of a male not belonging to the family, prosecutors argued that they were unable to determine where the blood came from or that it was even the killer’s.
The new “touch DNA” tests taken from the sides of JonBenet’s underwear matched that of the original blood DNA found almost 12 years ago after her murder.
i really hope this case is finally solved.
It looks like Ben Bernanke really cares and is REALLY concerned.
According to Reuters, this morning Bernanke said, ” The U.S. central bank might keep open a lifeline to financial firms as it fights to keep the credit crisis from wreaking further havoc on the struggling economy “.
From the gatherings of private reports on sales at chain stores, retail sales are struggling as the economy sags under the weight of the worst housing slump in a generation.
Bernanke’s statement helped stabilize stocks after Monday’s losses.
U.S. chain stores sales rose 2.9% in the week ended July 5

Mrs. A-Rod, Cynthia Rodriguez has officially filed for divorce from husband Alex Rodriguez.
TMZ has the exclusive about the documents filed in Miami this morning. According to the papers, Mrs. Rodriguez is exhausted in her efforts to “salvage their marriage”.
Cynthia says the marriage is irretrievably broken because of Alex’s “extra-marital affairs and other marital misconduct.”
A-Rod, this one is gonna hurt.

Some good news for Mr. Rodriguez is that he and his wife did sign a prenup before the couple married in November 2002.
