On Saturday, Venus Williams beat sister Serena Williams to win her fifth Wimbledon title and seventh Grand Slam championship.
Venus finished off Serena in 1 hour, 52 minutes.
Venus’ paycheck? Reportedly $1.5 million!
Have you seen the way Venus works the court???? I just don’t think Serena is as fast.

Not looking good, again.
General Motors is obspreparing to cut thousands more white-collar jobs and is considering whether it should drop several of the brands its currently owns. GM recently decided to put its ‘Hummer’ division up for sale.
So the latest news??
GM is basically trying to return back to profitability by 2010 from what their spokespeople are saying.
From what the Wall Street Journalis reporting, “Before GM makes any decisions about its brands, it must stabilize its cash reserves and share price. In the past few weeks, GM stock has tumbled dramatically, falling below $10 a share and hitting lows last seen more than 50 years ago. Its market value has dropped to less than $5.73 billion.
Do we truly have any voice in the gas situation?
I mean, if the automakers don’t, how in the hell do we?
I don’t even want to think about how many more Americans will lose their jobs because of our economy.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Starbucks is said to close an additional 500 stores in the U.S. and cut 7% of its work force.
Starbucks is said to have as man as 12,000 full-time and part-time retail positions that will be eliminated in connection with the closures.
The locations that Starbucks is closing aren’t profitable at the moment or aren’t projected to provide much future return.
